Leadership, culture & the things that make life meaningful.
I’m Berker Gezer, a strategist working at the intersection of global education, culture, and community. I build systems, projects, and spaces that bring clarity to complex environments and create better pathways for people.
What I do
My work sits across education, culture, and personal development, but the thread is always the same: turning complexity into clarity and impact.
Education & Leadership
Guiding teams with clarity and purpose.
Culture & Film
Curating stories that connect communities.
Mentorship & Problem Solving
Solving problems with thoughtful insight.
Thoughts & Insights
Directing moments that matter.
A bit more about me
I grew up between art, sport, and curiosity. As a kid, I performed in operas, voiced a character in the Turkish dub of Peter Pan, and painted for years – one of my paintings even ended up with the Queen of Jordan. I also played basketball competitively from a young age and still play regularly; it’s one of my favourite parts of the week.
These early experiences shaped how I work today: I care about performance, but also about process; about systems, people, discipline, and joy.
Selected work & projects
Admissions & Operations Leadership
Role: Associate Director of Admissions
Focus: Leading international admissions operations, improving student pathways, and aligning processes with regulatory frameworks in multiple jurisdictions.
Why it matters: Education can change lives, but only if systems are clear, fair, and accessible. My work is about making that possible at scale.
Toronto Turkish Film Festival (TTRFF)
Role: Director, Operations & Strategy
Focus: Partnerships, strategy, and audience development for an independent, not-for-profit festival showcasing Turkish cinema in Toronto.
Why it matters: This project connects my interest in culture, migration, and storytelling with real audiences and real community impact.
